This was a wonderful weekend for the GravelCrew! With just over a 16 hour drive from southern California to Steam Boat Springs Colorado, the trip was well worth the efforts for the GravelCrew as yet another successful rally has the MTX / Streetwires team sitting in FIRST PLACE in the Western States Rally Championship, with the 3RD place finish in class and a 11th place overall of the 28 cars contesting the Colorado Cog Rally.

WSRC 04.2003 – Gorman Ridge - August 16-17

This was a wonderful weekend for the GravelCrew!
Rodney Wills / John Burke driving the MTX / Streetwires Ford Escort ZX2 finished 2nd in Group Two class and 7th OVERALL and Marvin Ronquillo / Scott Johnston driving the Kamikaze ’02 Subaru WRX finished 3rd in GT Production class and 8th OVERALL! This is a huge achievement for the GravelCrew as the Gorman Ridge Rally aside from the 50 entries contested some of the roughest terrain in rallying.

Going into this event Rodney Wills / John Burke sat in the number three points position in Group 2 of the Western States Rally Championship and has moved up into FIRST IN POINTS as result of this Gorman Ridge race. (WSRC Group 2 is the 2.0 engine and under / two wheel drive class)

WSRC 03.2003 – Gorman Ridge -August 16-17

A major loss for the rally community this weekend as team Subaru's Lovell and Freeman had a fatal accident. So our little victory of finishing the race in seventh place in group 2's huge field of twenty cars is mute. We are happy inside, standing under our grey cloud.
